Why specialist trauma therapy costs what it does
Specialist trauma therapy reflects the level of training, experience, and clinical responsibility involved in this work. I have undertaken many years of advanced postgraduate training, specialist trauma accreditation, and ongoing professional development to work safely and effectively with complex and high-risk presentations.
Working with trauma; particularly Complex PTSD, dissociation, and moral injury, requires careful assessment, tailored intervention, and a strong emphasis on safety and ethical practice. Sessions often involve significant preparation, reflection, and clinical decision-making beyond the time spent in the therapy room.
